This service allows Rwandan citizens who have passed the definitive driving test to apply for their definitive driving license. The service is provided by the Rwanda National Police (RNP).
The processing time of this service is 14 days, and its price is Rwf 50,000.

Applicants with or without an account can apply for this service.

Applicants eligible for this service should be 18 years and above.
Applicants should have passed the definitive driving test and been given a registration code.
The definitive license expires and is renewed after 10 years.
Follow these simple steps to apply for a definitive driving license:
Visit Irembo platform: www.irembo.gov.rw and under Police, click on Application for Driving License.
Select which service you want, "Application for Definitive Driving License," and click on Apply.
Enter your registration code or national ID, collection district, and pick-up station. The applicant's information is displayed, including their marks. Click next to proceed.
Scenario 1: If you use a National ID, a list of registration codes associated with it will be displayed (if you have more than one registration code), starting with the most recent. Select the valid one.
Scenario 2: If you choose to use a registration code, the details associated with that specific registration code will be displayed
Verify that the information is true, enter a phone number and/or email address, check the verification box, and click Submit.
A billing Number/ID (88…) will be generated for payment, Click Pay

NOTE: After applying and successfully paying via IremboGov, the applicant receives an SMS/Email notifying them that the driving license is ready for pickup at the Traffic Police office.
