What is a consular card?
A Consular Card is an official document issued by the Rwandan embassy to identify Rwandans living abroad. It serves as proof of identity and can be useful for various services at the Embassy and in Rwanda.
How to Apply for a Consular Card?
To apply for a consular card,
Visit RCA portal: www.rwandancommunityabroad.gov.rw.
Create an Account: Sign up by providing the required information.
Email Confirmation: After registration, check your email for the confirmation link. Click on it to verify your account.
Submit Your Consular Card Application: Log in to your account and complete the application for your consular ID card.
Approval Process: Once your application is reviewed and approved by the embassy, your consular card will be sent digitally and will be accessible in your account on the Rwandan Community Abroad portal.
Requirements for applying for a consular ID card.
To successfully apply for a consular card, you must provide the following:
A valid Rwandan identification document (ID or passport).
A recent passport-size photo.
Consular card Validity
A Consular Card is valid for 1 year.
