This service enables Rwandan citizens to apply for a duplicate of their Definitive Driving License which is lost or damaged, as well as for citizens who made changes on the physical National ID (changed Photo, date of birth or names). The service is provided by Rwanda National Police (RNP).
The processing time of this service is 7 days and its price is Rwf 25,000.

Applicants must have a national ID.
After paying for this service, the applicant submits an application letter to the Commissioner of Traffic Police. For more information, call 118.
Applicants should have a valid phone number, email address, or both.
Follow these simple steps to apply for a Duplicate of a Definitive Driving License:
Visit www.irembo.gov.rw and under Police, click on Duplicate of Driving License.
Select “Application for Duplicate of Definitive Driving License” and click on Apply.
Enter your Application Details. The applicant information is displayed on the right side of the page.
Click Next to proceed.
Verify that the information is true, enter a phone number and/or email address, check the verification box, and click Submit.
A billing Number/ID (88…) will be generated for payment, Click Pay
Applicants choose the mode of payment: offline (MTN, Airtel, or BK) or online (Visa or MasterCard). For more information about payment modes, click here.
NOTE: After applying and successfully paying via IremboGov, the applicant submits an application letter to the Commissioner of Traffic Police and picks up the physical duplicate of the definitive license 21 days after the application.
